Glamping is a great way to introduce camping to someone for the first time.
Estes Preserve Glamping allows you to enjoy the fresh air and all the sounds and smells of the outdoors while still maintaining the many comforts of home. You also miss the working and expense involved with setting up and taking down a traditional campsite.
Our glamping sites have all the comforts of home with a spacious 16′ round Lotus Belle at Stargazer’s Retreat or 16′ square traditional wall tent at Tree Line Vista. Both sites include “real” beds (not cots).
About Your Hosts
We – Deborah Estes and Katie Peltier – became fast friends when Deborah married Katie’s cousin Steven 25 years ago. Most of these 25 years our lives were quite different. Deborah a wife, mother, teacher, and Master Naturalist voluteer in Dallas and Katie a Corporate executive in Chicago. Our shared love for family brought us together multiple times a year. The family ranch in Lockhart became the favored spot for us as well as the extended family to gather, relax and get caught up on each other’s lives. Thanksgiving has become the most popular time for us. Most years we have around 30 people stay at the preserve giving us an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company, the glorious fall Texas weather, and the fabulous food prepared by the family in the kitchen and over an open fire.
